Clinical Pharmacists are a new addition to general practice and use their expertise and knowledge about medication to support the rest of the healthcare team. They can help with health issues such as how to take a medication, can advise on side effects and support with sourcing alternatives during times of shortage.
Other roles within the practice include supporting with improving prescribing safety, initiatives to reduce wasteful prescribing and projects to improve outcomes for patients.
Mr Ian Dunn (m), MRPharmS
Mr. Dunn has been with the Practice since 2018. He studied at the University of Bath and qualified in 2016. His special interest is cardiovascular disease and he is currently working towards becoming a non-medical prescriber with a focus on hypertension.
